I can’t get Skyla to open her mouth so the dentist can work on her. We went once to get a cavity cleaned out. He cleaned it out and put in temporary filling that had something on it that kills the nerve in the tooth.
We went back to get the real filling in, but no deal. Skyla cried and wouldn’t open her mouth. We made another appointment.
I went serious. Bought her a girlie umbrella and children’s make-up and said we’d go to McDonalds after she got her tooth fixed. No movies, etc, until the tooth is fixed!
But no. We went again today, she started crying almost the minute we walk in. Umbrella, make-up, McDonalds–it’s not worth the fear of having her tooth fixed.
So the guy said to call him Monday and he’d give me the number of a children’s clinic where they play cartoons and stuff while doing the teeth. Maybe that will help, he thinks.
Arg. This is very stressful, but I’ve decided to lighten up. I guess i can understand her fear 😀
