Thank you! It makes me think of Green Letters, a favorite Bible school book:
"To believe, and to consent to be loved while unworthy, is the great secret."

"To refuse to make 'resolutions' and 'vows'; for that is to trust in the flesh."

"To 'hope to be better' (hence acceptable) is to fail to see yourself in Christ only."

"To be disappointed with yourself is to have believed in yourself."

"To be discouraged is unbelief -- as to God's purpose and plan of blessing for you."

"To be proud, is to be blind! For we have no standing before God, in ourselves."

Thanks for that. I too am a list-maker, book-reader, doer-type, and I needed the reminder to switch my focus from that external stuff to the internal work God is doing.

praise the lord for your spiritual insight. i agree with you that marriage and motherhood are the hot water that really bring out what is in your tea-bag of a heart (always liked jim berg's analogy) and i haven't always been pleased at the taste of the tea of my heart. it is hard to find the balance we need to have between showing our faith through our works and depending upon our works instead of christ for our spiritual growth and needs. i think that is a struggle that everyone has but is not always willing to articulate and share in such a candid way. thank you for sharing.

Good day Ann! I am intrested in midwifery and such service as doula. I also live in Kiev ...but to my knowledge birth at home has not legalized.
I study obstetrics and I am going to work in that direction.... What can you suggest me?
I have taken steps to help women understand distinction between labor at clinic and labor at home ...
